Hi All,
What would y'all recommend to use as my next tupperdor, my cigar collection keeps expanding so I'm looking for my next storage solution. Ideally this would hold a significant number of cigars, maybe even a box or two if possible. I'll be using Boveda for humidification and prefer tupperware over a cooler because it's clear and not as big. If the tupperdor can be found on amazon that's even better!
Thanks for the help!

I use three of these in the largest size:
http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10026213&N=&Ntt=watertight
I like them because they have a great seal, are somewhat see-through, and pretty inexpensive.

Those do look good and the price is nice! Much cheaper than a cooler.

Wow those are much larger than I expected to be able to find! Awesome suggestion, what do you do for organization with all that space? Just storing boxes or have a tray system?

I like Lock and Lock boxes. Usually I can find them on sale at grocery stores, target or walmart.
I've got a couple like this: http://shop.locknlock-usa.com/new-products/346-rectangular-tall-food-container-132-gal-w-divider.html
But, you can find them in all sizes.

I have that exact lock and lock container, it's completely full hence my search for larger. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to browse lock and locks site as well, keep them coming!

I don't have that specific one but ones that have a grid on the bottom of the container. Allows for more air circulation.
Between what's at home and here at work 14 of them. Bit of sp hot glued on the sides and the lid of the container and they've been working well for years.

Some times it would be best to use a cooler, depending on climate changes. The insulation is added insurance if you are prone to extreme heat or cold providing more stable environment. Enjoy

I use SP trays from either Amazon or CheapHumidors. Kinda like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Spanish-Cedar-Tray-HUMI-TRAY-Cigar/dp/B00B9234HE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425323557&sr=8-1&keywords=spanish+cedar+cigar+tray
I can fit four of these in the largest, then still have room for box storage. Here's a pic I took a few months ago, before there was a third:

Like I said, for the price, these are awesome.

OldSkoolTarHeel You may have just convinced me! That plus some trays seems like a great combo! What are you doing for humidification? KL/Heartfelt/Boveda/Other?

I use Bovedas. I like that they are much easier to spread around to get the humidity right in every nook and cranny. If I weren't so cheap I'd probably get one for each tray as well and just lay it right on top of the cigars. I tried beads for a while, but I figured that I could spread the goodness around more with the Bovedas. I can also recharge them individually.

Well just pulled the trigger, one large tote from the source you posted as well as 3 trays and a caliber 4R hygrometer from Kayla cheaphumidors this will makeup my winter storage solution and overflow when I go to a wineador this summer! Thanks for the help and good suggestions Rob!

The Spanish Cedar trays from Cheaphumidor.com are great. I have 12 of them in my tower and get about 30 sticks in each. I also have a cooler for storage of some of my sticks. It holds humidity well and only needs to have the humidifier charged every 6 months. My Tupperware works well also, but it just looks cheap.

Just received my box, it's bigger than I expected! I'll have some work to do filling this bad boy up! What do you do to get the plasticky smell out?

You could crumple some newspaper and leave it in there. I also think people with winadors wipe down the interior with a baking soda wash, but I would check on that. I just left mine open for a few days.

A friend of mine urinates in the box, seals it, lets it sit overnight, then washes it out with bleach

Not sure if it matters but according to their site: "These watertight totes are not food grade plastic. At this time we do not have any watertight food grade/safe plastic."

I always use a baking soda paste and then after rinsing let it air dry in the sun for a couple of days. This usually removes any odors the plastic emits.

I'm going to assume it doesn't matter...none of my cigars are actually touching the plastic and there's plenty of air volume to "dissipate" any badness leaching from the plastic I hope.

I got all but one from Kayla cheaphumidors they are excellent, room for 2 to three rows depending on vitola! The tupperdor could probably hold 6 or 7 on one side, then I'll leave the other side free for box storage!

Just saw this... People... I know it's hard to get a diverse group to agree on anything... but can we at least open our minds to the possibility that it's probably not a good idea to pee in the same container you store your cigars in?
I don't know, maybe I'm alone in this thinking?

Maybe he likes infused cigars? Just a thought. Can't say I would try one but I doubt it is the weirdest thing that person does.

The tuppidor turned out well with the trays from Kayla. I'm gonna go order some now. They look great and have a lot of storage for the single sticks.
Very nice!!

No, I'm right there with you...WHY?????. Also, 10 posts later, you made mention...10. We truly have become desensitized, haven't we? I'm sure he has his reasons, but my curiosity is PIQUED, to say the least.

I'm not sure exactly but since he uses morning urine I think the theory is that it's somewhat acidic and sterile which helps remove impurities and bacteria from the container.
Keep in mind this is also a guy who drinks pig's blood from the asian market for rehydration on the tennis court. His theory is that its "osmotic gradient" is similar to human blood so it gets absorbed faster than water or gatorade. Whether or not that's true, it does tend to disturb his opponent.
