Now remember these are opinions guys. What I like you may hate and vice versa. With that being said what cigar has let you down or didn't live up to the hype ?
For me to is most padrons. I know this is blasphemy but I think they are just eh. They do burn absolutely flawless but in the flavor dept they are to me very one dimensional.
Let's hear your story's

Ghurka "Beast",,,thing tasted worse then hay and rubber ,,and having burned both I do know the taste that you cann't help but get burning them.I still have one "resting" in my humi,I haven't decided what to do with it.

LP 9. Good cigar, but not the crem de la crem I had heard about. I'm no DE hater either, I love love love a lot of their stuff.

Well that's a real good idea,,I need to torch the burn pile while the snow is still here.I could throw in the rest of that Dominican Blind sampler that tried to kill me.

LP 9s
Most Padrons I've had (good flavor, impeccable construction, but one note)
My first Cuban cigar (because I expected the heavens to open and angels to sing to me. )
Those immediately come to mind. I learned to a.) mostly stick to what I think I'll like based on blender, country origin, wrapper type, company and b.) to not have expectations with a new cigar, as hard as that may be.

I understand about the 9. It's good but I'd pick a t52 user it every day.

True that RE: LP #9 & Padron 1926... both good smokes but NOT worth the price!

Maybe I just had a dud but the Flor De Las Antillas I had dissapointed me. Draw was way too loose, no resistance at all. Flavors were good but not fantastic.
Probably the most frustrating cigar for me is the Alec Bradley Tempus. I like the flavors a lot but it seems like every 3rd one has horrible construction/burn issues. I got a several on Cbid from the free fall almost two years ago and they will nap for a long time at a lower RH (63) and hopefully fix some of those problems. You never know.

Just never had a Gurhka I liked. I think they're very well advertised and included in every sampler I've Seen for the most part to help balance the cost of y the sampler. Im not ruling the brand out completely but very hyped up brand with little satisfaction from me.

For me It was LADC... Tried a few different ones, even the Reserva, and was disappointed by all.

Beast was Ahhhhh OK nothing WRONG with it really, simple cigar. But the WidowMaker is an OK Cigar and worth trying if you like big ring cigars. I have actually had several that were OK cigars. Elegance is an absolute and total CINNAMON STICK like powder cinnamon and crazy. I wouldn't shitcan the entire line though. Love their marketing though....... $80.00 6x60 Maduro LMFAO!!!
Cool thread idea! I like hearing peoples true feedback

That's interesting. I thought the Anejo 46 was amazing. Funny how people's tastes are so different.
For me it was the Alec Bradley Prensado. It was average at best. Wont go out of my way to purchase any more

PU$$Y! Baaahhhaaaaaaa
Just kidding Alan. But I do have to ask why? Its not like were gonna come kick you in the sack for your opinion here.
Its killer to hear what people smoked that were supposed to be the Unicorn cigar and were just a little let down. I don't think any of us lowly BUMS will hold it against you if you didn't like our PRIZED Shark 77 ..

Opus X. Everyone makes these seem like its a slice of heaven itself served with a side of unicorn tears...but I can honestly say that I am not that impressed.

Ive never been crazy about AB at all but try the Tempus lancero. Smoked one recently and it really took me by surprise even after my disappointment with other vitolas in the line. It was a really nice smoke.

Didn't dislike it but it wasn't leaps and bounds above some of Drews other work. I have one resting but keep smoking Undercrown Corona Viva's.

I think sometimes RH makes a big difference from one stick to another. It would be interesting to nail down what tastes best at varying RH's. Not to mention your temp & humidity when you smoke it.

I assume the AB are the box pressed CI exclusive since they are from cbid. I believe those are a 2nd rate version of the real ones. The round ones that you get are quite a bit better IMHO, and are not available at the auction site.

Don't retailers have to disclose the fact they are selling the seconds?

Wow, ok, never realized that! Thanks for the info. At least I didn't spend a lot on them so if they never seem to work out I'm not too upset.

I'll second, third, or whatever number I'd be on the Drew LP9. I was so excited and picked up 2 last year to try. They were good sticks, don't get me wrong, but I have no idea what people see in these that makes them so desireable and expensive. If they were $7, ok I could see that. But for the price they go for, they aren't for me.

I don't mean 2nds, I meant that they make a 2nd as in another version of the Tempus that is not nearly the cigar that the originals is. This is all simply my opinion based on my experiences with them. I have no proof other than that.

For me, it's got to be the La Aurora Preferidos. I've had both the connecticut and the emerald. Neither were bad smokes, but given the price I was underwhelmed.
just got my SS and you guys just blew away my entire buy list..back to step one on trying to develop a buy list..

Just about any Tats I've tried *ducks*
I've had about 20, with maybe half as many different lines. I enjoy them, but not nearly as much as most do, and there are many other NCs I prefer. I'll continue to try them because their reputation is so strong. But I honestly don't think any cigar could live up to the hype those get.

I have tried several times, but Alec Bradley cigars do not match my palate. I know many smokers who love them. Just not for me.

i personally really like the 9. it was a great stick but it is on the higher side. for me the chiilin moose didnt live up to what i was hearing. now i smoked it rott and hear that its better with some age so i have some resting right now. its a great budget stick but what i was reading made it sound better than a budget cigar

I wouldn't discard your whole wishlist because someone says they didn't think the cigar lived up to the hype. No matter how amazing a cigar is theres always someone that won't like it. Don't short yourself, follow your own palate.
I understand what you say, trying to fill that box is harder work than I thought, and after I spend my allowance they go and put everything on sale..catalogs come late..just makes my head hurt.. luckily I got those cheap ones to smoke.

Everyone's tastes are different, you might love some of what I hate and vice versa, you never know unless you try them! That's half the fun of cigars.

thats part of the fun of smoking is seeing how different a cigar is to different people
