Got an email last night that announced that Puff.com was back up. After their going down about a month ago, the way our community of tobacco connoisseurs found its way back together is a testament of the cohesiveness of the group. I understand Facebook had a lot to do with getting the word out. I just happened to have someone's email address from a previous transaction and found out by emailing them. How did you find your way back to the group at CigarBum?

How did you find this place? (http://www.cigarbum.com/forum/showthread.php?35-How-did-you-find-this-place&highlight=find) ;)

Saw a post while lurking on another forum trying to find out what happened.

After we got thrown out and the door closed behind us I started wondering the streets and asking strangers if they knew about "poof forum". Eventually I found a bar and someone said that there was this new forum so I checked it out and waited for someone to come in and I sneaked behind them just before the door closed.

(saw a post at a random site talking about a new forum)

Sorry, someone had already posed this question to the group and I didn't realize it. (see Nature's hyperlink)

I'd been wandering aimlessly in the dark not even realizing I was lost. Then Tobias Lutz found me deep in the wilderness and showed me the way home.

Hey no problem!! They can post here too! LOTS of newcomers and old-timers still wandering in. Nice to see how people found their way here.

I think it is all just a testament to the fact that the community is what makes the forum, the forum doesn't make the community.

I googled "Is Puff.com down for good" and came across a discussion that referenced this site.
Sure glad I found it.

Couldn't agree more. The URL makes no difference to me. If we change the name again tomorrow I couldn't care less, as long as the gang's all here.

It seems like almost everyone has made their way over to the Bum, so I'm a happy smoker.

I was standing back of the barn in the dark with my laptop doing a cigar search when, I saw a note go by from Tobias Lutz about cigar Bum and I strolled over to see what he was selling.

I got emails from other members. Being on this forum is almost as good as being in a smoking lounge.

The interesting thing is that before I came (back) here, I joined another site that has a ton of people in my neighborhood but I like it here more even though I feel alone! :stogie:

Where are all the Southern California people?

GOOGLE is a powerful tool.:fly: It is always about the guys I've come to know and not the URL. I read through a certain topic on PUFF this morning and boy was I glad I founded the Bums! At least now I can continue sharing my fondness for tobacco, coffee, books and whatever we might share.
