Drink: Red Stripe - nothing beats this on a hot summer day, except maybe for a Gin&Tonic!
Once again the wrapper and construction on this cigar were top notch, very faint veins can be seen upon close inspection, no soft spots....just one beautiful Connecticut wrapper.
The first few puffs of this cigar brought on immediate pepper flavors, nothing overwhelming however I did not pick up anything else in the first half inch or so except for pepper/spice. The cigar did burn a bit crooked but nothing that required a touch up or too extreme to affect the cigar.
As we move passed the first 1/2 inch or so the earthy flavors began to pick up and spice to a back seat. The cigar really began to pick up here and I am greatly enjoying yet another Perdomo.
Approaching and into the second third of the creaminess began to pick up, this was certainly expected and glad it did not wait until the last third to pick up. I was picking up a mild coffee flavor and the spice was completely gone at this point.
This was a great cigar to start the day with, Veeral, Dav0 and I had a nice lineup of cigars planned for the day and this was nice a medium bodied cigar to get things going.
As we are getting into the final third of the cigar the creaminess is still there and I began to pick up a subtle nutty flavor...in the Imperio it had a more distinct nutty flavor but in this vitola it was much more subtle and only came around in the final third. And down to the nub we go.
Thanks again Ron for the fine smoke, up until the blind review I was not familiar with the Perdomo line at all but I am enjoying the cigars you sent in the contest
