Drink: Red Stripe
The cg:4 is beautifully constructed with no noticeable flaws in the wrapper, no soft spots and a nice simple band.
The first few puffs of the cigar brings out a nice blast of pepper, nothing overpowering but you can definitely tell it is there. At this point I am not picking up anything else.
As we progress further into the first third of the cigar the flavors open up and a nice leathery flavor takes center stage, the pepper is still hanging around but the leather is definitely dominating....again, imagine chewing your baseball glove as a kid...ahh the memories.
Getting into the second third of the cigar the pepper is completely gone and not noticeable at all, the leather flavors are still dominating and there is a slight woody flavor making it's way in. The burn was not perfect, but it did not affect the cigar at all.
The uneven burn could be due to the massive fan dav0 rolls out into the yard while we are there but who knows, the cigar is smoking great and the good times are rolling!
Getting into the final third the same flavors are still dominating, the pepper has not come back, though I was hoping it would. The leather and woody flavors are a near perfect match and this has been a great cigar throughout. This is the last cg:4 so I am glad it proved itself once again :)
And onto the nub we go, I would definitely recommend this cigar if you enjoy the whole leathery, woody flavors in a cigar, I am not sure of the cost since this was a bomb, but I believe they are in the $8 range making it a great cigar for the price.
Sit back, relax and enjoy a great cigar in good health!
Hope you enjoyed.
