Continuing the theme of Philippine cigars, here is the 1881 torpedo. Larger ring gauge than I generally like, but the torpedo shape helps. burned pretty nicely, had a nice, mildly spicy flavor with a hint of Sumatra. Not what I remember from the Philippine cigars I had years ago, but still very tasty. I still have 2 brands to try, so the search continues!

Are they made with Phillippines tobacco?

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear there are good cigars coming from there.

I believe they are made with Philippine tobacco, but they mat not be puros - there may be some Central American stuff in them as well. The website is not really clear. To me, at least ...

Oh, and after the dust settled, I got a bill from UPS Business Solutions for broker fees and custom fees. A couple of dollars for Customs, something like $60.00 for brokering. Along with the shipping charges upfront, that probably makes them too expensive for me to reorder.
