Who's a fan? Who's not? Who wasn't, but now is?

Most importantly - Who do I have to blame for my newfound obsession with them???!!! It was one of you damn Bums!!! I was more than happy NOT enjoying them, then SOMEONE, or maybe it was a mob effort said "You don't like CTs, eh? Well, here's some CTs for ya, buddy." Who does that? I'll tell you who - BUMS!

You know I'm a fan now, since that's what I've been mostly smoking lately. Didn't care for them at all until somewhat recently and my world went upside down. Now I gotta keep the tuppie stocked of something I never thought would be in there.

I would think a lot of people begin with mild cigars and CT wrappers, then move on. I did things backwards from this theory - started enjoying the hobby with maduros and more fuller cigars, and now I'm getting into everything CT. Though, I was a smoker and dipper before cigars, so I was probably more used to the nicotine and to bacco properties.

I've been enjoying just about everything under the CT sun. I'll post up some favorites as we progress.

I certainly don't dislike them for taste/flavor reasons. They are just fine to me in that department .

My only issue is that they seem to be very thin and fragile compared to others and crack while smoking or flake off or crack from normal handling, which I'm certainly not rough about

I friggin love cigars

I wasn't a CT fan at first either. Then I smoked the JDN Cabinetta & the My Father CT and gained a different perspective. Then I had a Virtue and gained more appreciation for them.
Still prefer the fuller smokes, but can thoroughly enjoy a CT.

Some of the best smokes I've had were CTs, including a Cabaiguan.

I go for fuller bodied smokes too, most of the time. Probably because I subconsciously think a fuller smoke is more bang for my buck. But, a CT done right is hard to beat. Even cheat CTs like a CAO Gold and Alec Bradley American can knock your socks off. I'm looking to try the Charter Oak CT next, but am overflowing with stuff I got on CBid and have no space.

Well that whole "find one you like" is what I hear about Gurkha all the time and he is King Gurkha....

I do enjoy Connies every once in a while and the Charter Oak is a great one. Joya and Perdomo make some great ones as well. The problem I have with them is that those wrappers are so thin I always get more blow outs and splits with Connies than anything else.

Bought one at the local shop and loved it enough to buy a box. Great smokes and haven't had any trouble yet, but only smoked a few out of the box so far, so we'll see...

You mean I could've been annoying you this whole time about those CTs???!!! Start hitting the "What NC are you smoking" thread, my man.

Good to know another degenerate Bidding Bum is in our mix. Picked up some CAO Golds and AB American Classics recently, myself.

Then, this year in the Tat Advent Calendar, I had one and it blew my socks off.

I also like Perdomo CTs and what Saka has done with CT wrappers. Lastly I'll throw out La Aurora, but I'm sure there's more.

The MF CT really showed me CT doesn't mean bitch ass cigars. That was CT-tasty and had a nice strength

The 1st 2/3rds is CT wrapped, the last 1/3rd is habano. And IMO the Cabinetta & MF CT are very similar.

Agree about the wrapper splitting. I find Connies are very fussy about rh. Haven't had any problems at 65 however.

Yep, sock-blowing capacity with Cabaiguan. But, I do have to confess, after smoking the one that blew my socks off I purchased 2 boxes - none were good. Not sure what happened.

I think alot of the time it's the humidity when smoking - I can't do them on the golf course at all

Remember hearing something about one being sweetened and one not, and it may or may not have been officially put out as sweetened.

Sent from my SM-N986U using TapatalkI had one somewhat recently and didn't really care for it. Will give it another shot. Initially it was good. Probably 1/2 way it became a mess, tastewise.

It's not your typical CT profile. The CT-ness is more nestled-in with the rest of the flavors and seems to not take the spotlight.

Very good cigar and an outstanding recommendation, Brian. Thank you.
