Sure this has been talked about but when or how often do you dump your ash trey ? I smoke mostly on my porch but at times do smoke inside . I mostly if inside after smoking which is 1-3x a day maybe will leave what's left of my cigar in my small ash tray to go out and then next day will toss it under the rose bushes next day . If it is raining then it gets tossed then . If I am on my porch I knock my ashes into the flower beds but if it's real dry outside will put my butt in this old metal bowl that sits on a work table to go out and then toss it the next day . A quirk I have is I hate to crush out cigars to put them out . Inside my wife likes the aroma of most of my cigars so letting what's left smolder and go out by themselves is what have always done . A full running over ash tray is something I couldn't stand to have . Yes I have several quirks , some my wife takes advantage of like I can't stand to have dishes sit in the sink . If I see a dirty dish sitting in the sink or on the counter it gets washed and put up or at least put in the dish washer .

I have a stinky that has not been dumped in a couple years. I might have room for another 1/ dozen butts if they are really small nubs.

You up in okc?

Proper etiquette is to just lay your cigar down when finished and let it t die a natural death. Then empty your ashtray when you are done for the smoking session.

But the beauty is do it however you feel like doing it. There are suggestions that some will call rules, but it’s really all up to you. Especially if your smoking at home. If your at a cigar lounge, do things the proper way to show you have couth and deboner. :)

Inside - you gotta dump it! The ashes and dead cigar don't have that good aroma - they are what puts the stink in cigars.

Outside - don't care as much - its more of a when full thing.
