Beautiful dark brown, smooth, oscuro wrapper with nearly invisible seams, no veins, a smooth cap and hard bunch.
Even burn, flat coal, strong, grey ash and a perfect draw with ample smoke volume and a fragrant aroma and no burn in the throat.
Flavor was of ample richness, perfect balance of herbal and woody flavors, medium strength and generous flavor and body.
A light sweetness, no bitterness, burn on tongue, sharpness or saltiness.
Overall, an outstanding cigar with elegant character.
Total score is 98 out of 100

Sounds wonderful!!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkIt really was, all the way to the nub when the smoke and my fingers got hot.
Just outstanding. Not sure how available they are as they were only released twice, and were limited production each time.
Not sure what the release dates were.
Apparently made to honor the head of Cigar Federation's daughters 2nd birthday.

Didn't know about this CH. Bet they're long gone now, but I appreciate seeing a nice write-up on it - especially in case CFed's description on these is hinting towards it possibly being re-released.

I have 2016 listed in my inventory app, so I'm guessing it was 2016 and 2017 that they were released.
They do say "probably final " release the second year in your link, so its a possibility they could be rereleased, but I would kind of doubt it after 5 years now. I would think they would have rereleased them in 2018 and/or 2019 if they were going to rerelease them.

I've gone through a number of your reviews. They are interesting but it's a shame we never see the cigar being smoked. You need to light them up and at least show us the initial burn when doing a review. I think your readers and those who gifted you these cigars would love to see this.

A pic does add a lot to a review. There is my usual full picture with all bands and ribbons and uncut.
I prefer to show a picture of it before I even cut it, to show all the bands and ribbons they come with, as I remove everything before cutting and smoking, so a naked picture of it makes it simply look like every other cigar out there.
And i do always describe the burn, ash color, ash "strength", etc in the review.
My reviews are pretty detailed and describe pretty much every aspect of a cigar there is, throughout the smoking process, which is done as I'm smoking it, not after the fact, so its all real time, immediate information.

Exactly, the review almost sounds like it's cut and paste. I'm not really knocking it for a beginner it's trial and error. I've read a lot of reviews over the years and 99.99% have at least one pic of the cigar burning. The ability to take a pic of the cigar and see the cigar burn adds another dimension to the review........imho.

I'm all for legitimate constructive criticism and ideas for improvement, so a picture of exactly what and/or when in the smoking process do you feel adds something?

Useful pics would be before the first ash falls and a pic when you lay the nub down for good.

Just curious, but what exactly can be learned or improved on in a review with those specific pictures included?
I honestly can't think of anything, so curious what you feel it adds to a review and what can be learned from them.

Its not cut and paste. I use a modified form from another forum where I check things off as I'm smoking for real time information instead of after the fact.
Then i flesh out the various things I checked while smoking, into sentences for posting.
And same question as I asked Old Smokey below: what specifically do you feel is learned or gained from a picture of it being smoked?
You 2 are the first to ever bring this up in any comments of any of the over a dozen I have posted on another forum and had reposted on the now shut down CF.
Thanks,
Sean

I have seen a ton of reviews and I have a difficult time seeing how you are getting an idea of the cigar's flavor when the thermometer is hitting 16 degrees at its warmest. I'm sure everyone would like to see how that cigar burns in that type of weather since you have to smoke outside.

I dont really see why low temperature and low humidity would have any negative effect on a cigars taste or burn.
I have smoked down to -5 degrees this winter and had no problems with taste or burn compared to taste or burn at summer temps in the 80's frequently, but with low humidity as Wyoming doesn't really get above 40% humidity at the most in every temperature and season, so I don't feel the weather here has much if any effects on my cigars, aside from high winds which we get often as the average elevation for all of Wyoming is at least 4500ft or more, so we always have some wind.
I'm able to avoid the burn issues wind seems to cause as we have a little glass shelter, exactly like you would find at a bus stop, to smoke in. Plus there's always the fully enclosed and attached to the facility, big smoking room on the opposite side of the facility from me, so i rarely smoke in there unless its pretty cold as it tends to be a bit warmer than the shelter by my room, likely from picking up a little bit of the facilities heat since its attached, but still 100% glass, so not at all insulated.
Is the burn at low temperatures your reasoning behind suggesting pics of the cigar burning, in my reviews?
The rest of my review obviously already covers tastes and burn too, so I've got the flavor thing covered at least
I could include temperature and humidity in my reviews if you feel it would be an improvement.

I'm sure your cigar is stored in a warm room of about 70 degrees and at around 65% humidity. If you take that cigar outside where it's 55 degrees colder and 25% lower humidity that wrapper is going to crack and start to unravel. The inside of the cigar once it is lit the filler is still holding a 65+% humidity level. When the cigar is being smoked, the moisture in the burning filler is being released as steam and drawn through the body of the much colder cigar. The colder cigar filler fills with condensation and can't hold all the humidity and the filler starts to get nasty. This also makes the cigar swell more making the wrapper even more prone to cracking. I would say that by the halfway mark that cigar is going to taste like garbage. This is why I wouldn't waste a cigar out in the cold unless it was a cheap yard gar and even then it's not worth the time or effort unless I'm shoveling snow.
I'd like to know if anyone else here smokes outside in zero-degree temps.

I haven't had any more wrapper or other problems at colder temperatures than I have at higher temperatures honestly.
Have had cracking and/or peeling wrappers with pretty much every maker on occasion, regardless of temperature or humidity. Sometimes it just happens with one.
Have smoked plenty of cigars to the point I couldn't hold them anymore in summer and winter temperatures, so never had any issues with taste based on smoking environment.
Everyone's palate is very different though, so you may have taste issues with winter temperatures while I don't.
You can never know with everyone's palates being so different
