Hello All. I have been a cigar smoker for several years but lost my old forum long ago. Just now finding the time to get back into the world of cigars a bit more and looking forward to talking about one of my favorite hobbies with other enthusiasts.

I have kept a single 300 count humidor stocked and well attended (babied according to my wife) for a few years and enjoy talking cigar care as much as talking cigars themselves. Still consider myself a "newbie" simply because I know that I still have so much to learn.

Looking forward to getting to know the gang.

I've got a Padron 1926 Churchill that is waiting for a special occasion. It had a twin that I smoked last February when I officially adopted my adult son (now 30) who I have been "Dad" to since he was 9. I bought the pair of them four years ago or so.

Most of my sticks are of the more affordable variety. I am a big Oliva fan I do have a few Ashton and My Father's but those again are more special occasion cigars. I am a frugal guy and use the Devil site to procure most of my cigars.

Usually I am more of a Maduro guy but when in the mood for a more mild smoke I am a fan of the Hoyo Excalibur. I find it to be a good smoke and can usually be purchased pretty cheap.

Nothing wrong with the affordable sticks, especially if you're out smoking in the cold.

The Hoyo Maduro Rothschild from The Angel's Blessings Site was good for a buck. Recently had the Excalibur based on another Bum's recommendation, and it too was nice for a buck.

Haven't done much bidding over there, but I've seen some HVC Pan Calientes and other HVCs that have my attention. Hoping they'll start putting HVC fivers and singles out there.

Have you had the La Aurora bundle sticks from there? What about any of the Diesel Uncuts?

Everything Matt said and I'll add AJ's New World Maduro to the list.

The Cuba Libre One is a hidden gem. Made me think of the MF #2 quite a bit. Gonna try to score quite a few of those when I get back into bidding. Was able to easily snag singles for $1, but I haven't bidded in probably six months or more.

Devil's Site to some...Angel's Blessings to others.Laughing. I have always called it Devil's Site. If you saw my wife's face when a package arrives the words "Angel" and "Blessing" only come to mind if I am praying for mercy. "Devil" seems more appropriate for my house. (ftr-my wife is awesome, I am lucky to have her, she is a true blessing, and she is absolutely NOT watching me type this)

Sent from my SM-N950U using TapatalkI've yet to have those, too, but wondered if the bundle price, usually around $20, was worth it. Not a bad price for 10 cigars, but I don't want 9 left over if they're bad.

What other Cigarbid sticks would you recommend?

I like the Cain Maduro's and it seems like I can find them really cheap on occasion. I got a RP sampler last spring to give them a shot and I liked the Edge, Decade, and Vintage 1990 so I added those to my "buy at a bargain" list. The Diesel's that I have had are fun smokes but again BAB (but at bargain). I liked the Brick House Mighty Mighty. Drew Estates Undercrown Maduro (not as inexpensive but a step up in quality imho).

As you can see I like my money to go as far as possible. I bid on 100 auctions minimum for any 1 that I win.

I of course love the higher quality brands as well. My Father and Ashton are favorites.

I bargain shop for sure. I bid in well over 100 auctions for every one I win. Some that I've found I enjoy are.

Diesel Unholy Cocktail
Diesel Rage
Oliva G
Oliva Siason
Oliva V Melanio
RP Edge
RP Vintage 1990
RP Decade
DE Undercrown Maduro
Cain Maduro
Anything Ashton
Anything My Father
Brick House (Maduros)

Just a quick list not a complete list by any means.

Hell yeah. That's exactly my bid:win ratio. Thought I was the only crazy mofo who did that.

Nice list of sticks.

I do a lot of bidding with a max amount WAY below msrp on recently added items. Surprising how often you can get lucky and pick up a fiver or a sampler for pennies on the dollar compared to msrp. Granted you are completely in the hands of fate and have no idea what you will end up with, but if you want to stretch your cigar budget and you have too much time on your hands anyway. I obviously don't just bid on everything but I bid on a lot. I don't feel I am giving away any secrets here. You all know how the game is played.

I just picked up an 8oz hc black ice humidification pie jar for $1.50 today. Those are $17 on the retail site today. I think I put the bid in for that last Thursday when it was first added. I saw the guys trying to jump the finish line (last second bid) were paying $5.00 for the same lot.
