Anyone have any recommendations for a good, but not over the top expensive travel case for 10 Cigars minimum?

Doesn't have to be pretty, just airtight, rugged and functional.

Think i saw that one while browsing Amazon for them.

There's several that seem pretty good for around the same price range

Kinda leaning towards this one but don't recognize the brand or know much about it other than the info on Amazon

Like I said there are several brands. I think the most common are herf a dor and cigar caddy and I may have had a humicare??. Mine does 5 cigars wide (as long as they are not huge rg) then foam on bottom and top and foam insert between the 2 layers. Since not using this for long term storage getting a cheap one should not be an issue.

I have several off brand ones, a humicare and a Xikar travel case. I think the Xikar has the best seal, but I think they are all very good. You will see brand specific ones and a lot of time they are Xikar. You can tell by the shape. Some brands can be jad at a good deal if you dont mind the branding.

I've got three different sized Xikar travel cases - 5, 10-15, and a 40 ct. All excellent quality, and seem pretty ruggedized. Seals seem very dependable for long term use.

Also have a small Pelican case. Bit more ruggedized, and it's seal seems more airtight than the Xikar. Probably a bit more costly, though.

Buy once, cry once.

The cheap ones can end up warping or flexing and as a consequence you lose the seal.

Is this as a secondary storage or do you really want something to take on a weekend trip?

The Xikar branded ones have a sturdy, hard plastic shell.

But I get being frugal - if its for a weekend trip and you'll be in possession of the traveldor, you'll smoke 'em faster than the seal can probably leak. If you're flying or want to use it to store for a month or more, get a good one.

Pick up a .30 cal ammo can from a gun show for 6 bucksExcellent recommendation - you can throw cedar sheets from your old cigar boxes in there too.

I actually do this and didn't think to recommend it - lol.

You can also get a decent case at Harbor freight that will work great. I have one that holds 10-15 cigars easily and I can cram close to 25 if I grab some smaller ones and don't surround with foam but some light bubble wrap.
