Cursed Sticks?

Any sticks you've had multiple times and had bad experiences with each time that couldn't be attributed to the stick...like you scorched it, bad weather all of a sudden, dog pisses on your new couch, kids are fighting, squirrel attacks you, or any other bad luck dealings?

First time: rain outta nowhere, and stick is drenched.
Second time: scorch fest - windy weather

I cannot be the only one here...or am I?
