I’ve never invested in one, I’ve typically used a wooden skewer but they just kinda move mass instead of removing a little bit of it. Are all draw tools about the same or are some better than others? I’ve had a bad run of plugged sticks and it’s driving me mad as a hatter. Thx Bums.

no idea, I always eye them but have yet to try one. I have used an ice pick but tend to just crack the wrappers with it.

I’ve purchased two PerfecDraw tools and promptly lost both of them. They did work, but with one big caveat: they will not fix overpacked cigars. They help with plugs. I pulled some pretty gnarly looking stems out of some cigars. But if it’s simply overpacked, it’s a losing battle.

I use an 1/8 extra length parabolic drill if I'm at work, either twisted by hand or in a cordless drill. Seems to work like a charm.

I use the Modus and it works to pull out some just but as was said, if the cigar is over packed you can poke away and it won't do too much to help it. It usually will crack the wrapper. But it's got nubber on the other end that is awesome.

Have the Modus as well and agree with the Wise One!!

Totally agree with what's been said - no cure for overpacked. But a draw tool can save you from a plug and/or fish out a stem. Perfect draw tool works, the Modus gains you a nubber.
Larger ring gauges are more forgiving - under 50 and your almost sure to crack the wrapper. But have you got to lose?

I ended up with the PerfecDraw. I’ll report back findings once I have occasion to use it.
