Need the Bums help here.
I smoked a Crux Passport the other night, making it the second Passport (different vitola) I've had. I thoroughly disliked both (sorry, Tony).
On another forum, a review was written, and it had "tannic" as one of the flavors. Further investigation led me to find tannic as an acrid and/or bitter taste - more common with wines.
To me, the Passports tasted like the aftertaste of artificial sweetners or diet pops. They were absolutely horrible (sorry again, Tony).
Does anyone like tannic flavors?
Which sticks should I avoid that feature this flavor?
Hopefully not all Crux share this taste!

I’m confused. You read a review about a cigar that said it had tannins in the flavor profile, but you experienced artificial sweetness. And now you’re wondering what cigars you should avoid for having tannins? Do you like tannins or no? Tannins are not sweetness. They’re like a dry, slight bitterness you’d get from tasting a dry red wine.

If tannis = artificial sugar or "diet" tasting - I want to stay away from those sticks.
I don't find artificial sweetners to be sweet. They have a dryish, unpleasant, semi-bitter, amd acidic-esque taste.
