For those who enjoy Fuente cigars, Fuente was supposed to ship a new cigar to retailers yesterday.

Yeah i have reached out to a couple stores. 1 replied back they expect their fuentes to come in in Dec. But of course they don't know what they getting or if they will get any pinks.

A guy on another forum posted a pic of himself smoking a Pink with Carlos. Doesn't have anything to pertain to their release or distribution. He mentioned it as a Hemingway with some changes and that he really enjoyed it. I have a feeling these will not last long and I think the original release of a new cigar is often the best.

One thing this hobby teaches is patience! Waiting for anticipated releases, letting them rest/age etc. You can't rush the hands of time. :)

Went to a different shop earlier today. Asked about the Rare Pinks - was told they should be there in a couple weeks along with some Pussy Cats - mostly like before Christmas. Asked about the Naked Kings - he had no idea about them and said they may be from the God of Fire line. The picture I posted amd what I saw had the AF logo. I'm thinking these are some kinda King release.

Conflicting info all around from the two different shops.

Made a stop on a whim at my local Fuente B&M on the way home from work this evening.
Perfect timing! They just received an AF shipment today with some special cigars. Alas; no pink though.

He states the Pink may still be coming, but not sure. They never know what shows up until they get it. He states the regional rep also does not know if his store will get the Pink or not. I know this store used to be one of the larger AF accounts west of the Mississippi. This account however was split between two locations which are now separately owned; so who knows? I do know the store near me that I visit gets it fair share of AF including special and rare releases.

The store owner does a good job of putting purchasing limits on the rare stuff so that more buyers get a chance.

Seeing the amount of $$ spent to watch the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr event on TV.
A pay per view with His Excellency Sir. Dogrockets live ( and of course pantless ) smoking one of those naked cigars could well have tens of thousands shelling out $99.00 bucks each to watch. A one off virtual Cigarfest & Orgy that would leave viewers exclaiming "now I've seen it all!"

Yeah, I'm aware. I believe 30% of the profits will go toward breast cancer research. I believe Carlos wife lost her mom and grandmother to breast cancer. It's a great cause!

BTW, my favorite and usually most successful way to hunt rare Fuentes is to start with the Fuente Family Charitable Foundation list. The shops that are the higher-tier donors typically get way more of the rarer cigars and IMO stick to MSRP better. Trying to find that list. They used to publish it and it was always in Cigar Aficionado too.

I realize a pig orgasms can last for at least 30 minutes. But I don't think Rare Pink means putting lipstick on a pig. Well maybe it does, I haven't smoked one yet. But waiting and talking about it is part of the foreplay. And in Fuentes case foreplay can sometimes last a very long time and that pig is starting to sound pretty good.

Used to be Fuente frowned on their retailers jacking up the prices and selling above MSRP. Now, that concern seems non-existent. Hopefully most retailers that get Pinks won't get carried away with greed. But whatever they do, the cigars will sell.

Also had xtra anjeo 55s out and 77s hidden and that crazy Opus "chest" (he sold one of his two allotted). He was excited to get the forbidden series to go along with the others.

Anyway, back to the Pinks... I asked him pricing and he didn't know yet, so he had to look em up. When he gave me a number I said ouch, but then I asked for a box price and he kinda got worried. He admitted not knowing anything about them, so we talked a bit and shared what I knew of them and he appreciated it. He still had the bestsellers to show and could use the $ale, so he sold me the box.

Remember that CA has a 64% tax rate on cigars (and thats down from 70ish after a recent ruling), so I by no means got a deal on these like you all will surely find.

PS - I'm not posting this on other forums, just sharing with the BUMS.

I just messaged Josh that they seem to be marked at their MSRP. Brian also messaged me.

I can take another look today or tomorrow, but I remember them being in the $10-12 range. I'm not a Fuente whore like the rest of you, so I bought a My Father for $4 less :)

They don't typically advertise box prices. It's one of my smaller B&Ms and it's mostly for guys buying a few cigars for their golf game. It's called Cigars Etc. here in Wichita.

So here’s what I can do...

For each that wanted more than a 5er (Brimy, Reno, Alan, Josh), I can do 4 Work of Arts and 2 signatures. Then I can do a 2 Work of Arts and three signatures for Old Smokey, who just wanted a 5er.

That doesn’t include Sir Lancelot. I’m not sure what he’s interest in. I’d still have three Signatures and one Work of Art left over if he wanted those.

Does that work?

Good advice. This B&M does keep their stock at a great RH. Everything I buy from them always smokes well. I think these boxes have been there for at least a month, so a good head start!
