*This stick got lost in the mix of reviewing, smoking, and life. There's not a lot here for you, but I'll need my notes for my next encounter:

First Protocol for me, but I remember it having a signature Espinosa taste. I haven't had a lot by these guys, but from what I have had, there seems to be a signature attached to a lot of there stuff, where you know it's by them.

Nice leather on the retrohale. I do remember some kind pepper and/or spice, and it was very nice with the leather. Other than those couple of qualities, it was a great cigar.

There was one major problem with this stick I do remember, and was verified by the Espinosa Expert Bum. The stick had a horrible time keeping lit and burning evenly. It really took a lot of the joy that came with it.

Trial By Smoke Judgement:

Great stick other than the major issue. It's a CI exclusive at $85 for ten, and that's a gamble I do not think I'd take for that price (but, damn was it good when it was good). I would definitely like to revisit it, but only for around half that price. Taste-wise, it was a great introduction to the Protocol line, and the brand is definitely on my radar.

Thanks for the stick! Loved it, but damn was it a bitch to keep going.

I agree with you on this one. It is a great cigar but all 4 bundles I have smoked seem to lack the quality of Protcol and Espinosa when it came to construction. I saw a new batch at thr B&M and will grab another bundle if they still have it next time I am there and see what this years brings. Thanks as always for the review I enjoy reading them.
