Intro:

I got lost in a bullshit intro I was previously typing up...and...I don't know...just went without it. It was talking about Cuban brands in the NC market...blah, blah, blah - something which I know absolutely nothing about (till now, and it's still intesmally little). Something about me being a scientist and hypotheses....ULTIMATLEY THINGS MY BUMS GIVE ZERO SHITS ABOUT...at least outta my mouth.

Pre-Smoke Judgement:

It was a recommended smoke. And the recommending guy isn't batting well right now. The RyJ RSA wasn't worth the MSRP...and was decent at first at best. The AJF Enclave was Gurkha-ish at best, but Tombstone, says otherwise. So he's at 50/50 at best, and still doing OK. Not too excited about smoking the RyJ RRN...but...it's money spent and I'm smoking it regardless.

1/2:

Nice pepper on the retohale. Nice tobacco flavor and bite. Purist-esque. Medium-bodied. No other flavors or nuances noted. Clean burn ring. White ash. Residual is all tobacco, not heavy, not light, kinda medium. Decent...but not worth the MSRP of about $9. Kinda basic, nowhere near bad, but also nowhere near what I like spending $9 on.

2/2:

Pretty much the same as the 1/2. It's been solid and consistent with a medium body. Tobacco bite is still nice. The cap becomes a little sweet for a bit. Residual becomes a little nutty, and is still mostly tobacco flavored. Pepper is still there, and maybe my nose is acclimated, but it seems to have mellowed. Purging gets some sweetness and pepper back.

Trial By Smoke Judgement:

It was pretty good, but not for MSRP pricepoint. I did enjoy it overall, and I think it was better than the RyJ RSA. I'd look for it around $3-4/stick on Cigarbid for a fiver to change the pace to something purist-esque and Nicaraguan. Recommended to my bums based on that price. Looks like the bums are 2/2 and are batting much better than...that guy.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200726/b9a261c8ad79581fa54add6790429fbb.jpg

Nice review(s)

For 9 clams I'd burn an Aņejo 46... but that's just me.

If you're a fan of pepper, you really should score an inexpensive pipe and a tin of Nightcap. Formerly Dunhill, I think Peterson is blending it now. Do a good charring light then set it aside for a few hours then light up and enjoy. Very nice pepper hit and buttery goodness.

Not into pipes yet. But do plan on it soon. I'll make sure to check out Nightcap.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure what an Anejo Romeo even was, but then I haven't browsed the entire AF Aņejo line

And they age extremely well. Josh, have you ever had an aged AF Anejo? Say 5 years or older?

Old Smokey 5yrs or older I don't believe so. I think oldest I have smoked was 3. Now I have some 5+ yr old sharks but I dont always break into them.
