Well, a pipe for Christmas from my wife brought me to cigar/pipe forums on Dec 26 '14 but I've mostly kept to cigars. I still have just the one briar small billiards and 2 baccys: a Peter St Turkish and a Prince Albert... It smokes alright but I'd like to explore more!

I'm interested in Frog on the Bayou and any other suggestions.

If anyone is interested in trading pipes/tobacco for cigars hit me up!

Glad to have a good pipe forum again!

Welcome aboard sir.

I'm sure if you put that offer up in the B/S/T section you'd get some offers.

I too am fairly new to pipes. Be careful. It's a slippery slope.
I have 6 pipes now after only a month. :)
My poor humidor is being neglected. It's just so much more convenient, especially in the winter when you don't feel like sitting outside for an hour and a half to smoke a cigar.

Enough rambling from me. Welcome and happy smoking. Be sure to check out the reviews for ideas on what you might like.

Thanks, I've been reading reviews and still learning all the 'terminology!'

For suggestions, IMHO you can't go wrong with Seattle Pipe Club blends as well as the entire Hearth & Home Marquee line.

Not looking to trade, but I'd be happy to send a few samples your way.

Welcome, Brent!

A couple other things you might want to explore:
Dunhill 965
Various Virginia flakes

Recommend a $10 cob instead of another briar for now?

Best places online to hunt for pipe tobacco?

IMHO the best way to start is with cobs. A grab bag from MM will yield several sizes so you may be able to find what you like best, and they are cheap.

"MY" goto pipe tobacco internet retailer is Pipes And Cigars for everyday for aged and or hard to find, I use Pipe Stud.
