Well, unfortunately, it's close to being that time of year again. The cold weather will be here before we know it, and I'll have to say goodbye to my wonderful patio smoking spot. The only time I'll be able to smoke a full-sized cigar will be on unseasonably warm days, and when I can make it down to my local cigar bar.
I'm looking for suggestions on some good cigarillos. Are any of the bundles on CBid worth it? I'd like to be able to sneak outside and enjoy a bit of the cigar smoking experience until my toes are numb. Twenty or so minutes should just about do it.
Right now I've got my eyes on the Nat Sherman Maduro Point Fives.

I'm a fan of the Fuente Gran Reserva Exquisitos when I don't have a lot of time. I especially like that they're available with either a cameroon or maduro wrapper for some variety.

Other than Point Fives my go to has been CAO smokes. The Gold Karats and Mx2 Daggers are great. I’ve also been wanting to try the Avo Uvezian Classics as I love the standard sized cigars. I also tried La Gloria Cubana Petit Maduro and found them good.
I’ve not cared as much for the smokes under 30 ring.

I am a fan of the General Grants both in robusto and cigarillo. They are dirt cheap but good.

There are some that can't be discussed in this forum. I've only tried one kind, but they were really good. Others get pretty high reviews.

I've been smoking the Consuegras from JR's...bundle of 25 for$42.....Consuegra
Superiore #17 · 5.62 × 47 Maduro....almost like a cigarillo but with better taste.

Got three houseblend cigarillo-ish sized sticks on a trip to DC recently, and they turmed out great. Wish I woulda bought more or lived closer to the shop. Not much of a selection, if any, of houselblends around here.
I am in the same boat as Sean, and will probably start checking some of the tins out.
CentralTimeSmoke did you find any good ones?

Joya Red or Black. Also Swamp Thang or KFC are all available in tins.
A bit pricier for what they are, T52 and No 9 also come in cigarillo size in tins, but they are about $2.50 apiece in tins and I’m pretty sure they are short filler. Probably rolled with the trimmings from the regular sized cigars. I think DE offers quite a few options in cigarillo size.

Not cigarillos, but in the spirit of quick smokes, I'll toss out Nasty Fritas and Dante.
Nasty Fritas is a pyramid shape that gives you the full cigar experience at light up.. Its stupid strong for the size of little cigar.
The Dante comes in a mini size thats meaty and reminds me of Drambuie.
iirc, both can be had in the $4 range?

I always thought the Surrogates Cracker Crumbs were excellent little smokes. I think you can get 5pk tins for less than $15 and they are really enjoyable IMO. I don't know if Cbid carries them or not.

I have not. But the Cracker Crumbs would be hard to beat.

I swear, the winters here on the Great Plains just haven't been as bad the last couple years. I'm still enjoying the full-sized ones into January without much frost bite thus far. But I will say, I really enjoy the Man O' War Puro Authentico for quick smokes.

I will definitely vouch for the T52 tin smokes. Short filler or no, they are worth every penny. I was especially harsh on the No 9 going so far as to call them “trash” but they aren’t, they just don’t even compare to the T52s, not even in the same ballpark flavor wise. The Joya Blacks on the other hand, are trash and you’d be better off smoking eleven $1 bills instead of spending them on the Joyas. I don’t know how you feel about fire cured but Parodi Ammezzatis are great dog walkers. Tin cigarillos are also a nice way to get a little sweet flavor action. I won’t really buy Java or Isla Del Sol full size sticks but I don’t mind picking up a tin for when I’m feeling freaky. The only other ones that come to mind are the Mark Twain Novellas and that’s only because CI has them 50 for $40, I’ve had them sitting in my cart forever and just can’t pull the trigger.

I do love the Esquisitos but I can never get one that has a decent draw. They all pull like trying to suck a Blizzard through a straw.

Have you tried one? I like that they require no humidification, you can leave them anywhere glovebox, golf bag, coat pocket

Not what your asking about. But I sometimes try my pipe for a quick smoke. Not any good with my pipe but I still try it but mostly in the winter months

I don’t know how much of an actual review this will be but they were a good smoke. Nice flavor in a package that still felt like a cigar rather than a cigarette. They are not bland, flavorful but not a ton of Maduro sweetness. My only complaint is the box press but that’s completely subjective, I just don’t particularly care for the square shape, it’s awkward since there is no cap. Well worth the 8.50 though.

Have you tried any of the other Villigers? I’m looking over their lineup and there are a few others that look interesting but US availability looks kinda limited. The Braniff Chicos and the No 6 look like I can get my hands on them.

Unfortunately my favorite cigarillo is neither budget (as compared to other cigarillos) or appropriate for mention by name in this forum (as its nation of manufacture is purely imaginary, but said to lie somewhere south of Miami).

I was going to suggest these (possibly sans humidor for budget considerations), but this didn't seem to be in the correct forum for such things ... LOL
