The Rules
You Must:
1) Have a minimum of 100 posts by application date, or be vouched for by another member.
2) Agree to send a gift of two (2) sealed tobacco tins, pouches, etc. of 50g each (or the equivalent volume of tobacco in sealed condition), incurring costs for the present and shipping. Please limit your gift to just two tins.
3) Post to this thread when you have shipped your present to your target victim giftee.
4) Post to this thread when you have received your present from your Secret Santa.
5) Enjoy what you receive, in the spirit of camaraderie and fellowship that guided your Secret Santas selection of a gift to you.
6) Post pictures or at least a summary of the goodies you received from your Secret Santa to this thread.
7) “Favorite” this thread so that you can keep up with the adventure!
Participants outside the USA: We welcome your participation. I will make every effort to match you with someone from your country or trade bloc so as to minimize your potential customs fees, however that may not be possible. If you sign up for the Secret Santa exchange, and you do not live in the US, you agree to accept your gift package from another country and pay whatever customs fees may be charged to you.
The Signup
CLICK HERE and fill out the Secret Santa Signup Form.
Then post your participation and general Christmas banter here on this thread. Also feel free to add more detail about your tobacco preferences, beer, whiskey, etc.
Some details:
Previous Secret Santa exchanges have gotten a bit overwhelming, with perhaps a bit of good-natured “oneupmanship”. This year, I’m requesting that we limit our gifts to two 50gr. tins (or the equivalent). Although some of us have cellars that are deep, wide, and years old; we don’t want to scare anyone off due to a feeling of, shall we say, “cellar inadequacy.”
That being said, I do encourage adding other personal items that you think may be interesting to your giftee. (Check their “About Me” page) Or if you want to send along some pipe cleaners, other small pipe stuff, etc. that is great. Just try to keep it reasonable.
As is tradition, alcohol is allowed for anyone over 21.
Registration will close Sunday, November 11th. I will do a random name draw to match everyone up, and send all participants the name and mailing address, and preferences of their intended target by November 15th. Once you have received the name and address of your giftee, please take a second to look on this thread, and on their About Me page, for any of their pipe-smoking particulars or hobbies, and then send your present in a timely fashion so that it arrives before Christmas.
It is up to you when you want to open your gift. I’d prefer to leave it until Christmas Day, and then everyone update the thread with their presents. Personally, I don’t get much from my family in the way of Pipe and tobacco paraphernalia, so it is nice to have something from the hobbie under the tree. Of course, if you just can’t wait, be sure to update the thread with some pics!
A few other notes:
If something unexpected happens, and you just can’t honor your Secret Santa commitment, please let me know immediately. We all understand that life happens. But I do want to make sure no one is left hanging.
In the same vein,if you do not receive your gift by December 25th, please let me know.
Above all, have fun!

Alright!
We have 10 participants, and I'm planning to get everyone their secret Christmas "kid" tomorrow, or tonight if my window of free time stays open!
Running the names through a randomizer until no one is assigned himself, then I'll PM everyone their "kid's" name.
If anyone has any questions for his "kid," PM me, and I'll ask them.
Also, if you have any additional notes, or preferences you've recently developed from trying something new (I'm looking at you, Brimy and restomod) let me know; and I'll update your Santa.
One more note, everyone is over 21!

I'm still very open!!!
Despite the onslaught of generosity, I can still stand to broaden my horizons. There seems to be so many more options. If I can give my Santa the list of what I was bombed with he'll know what I have. And so far the Surliff 515RC Red Virginia that you sent is my fav so far.

Trying to find just the right piece of coal to send my kid!

I'm torn between this and using it as an excuse to place an order. You know, cause hitting free shipping has to happen even though I only really need 2 tins max.

I'm right there with ya!
I have stuff in shopping carts on several sites, trying to figure out what I want to do.
Also, don't forget, two tin limit; but you can send other non-tobacco items.
Have fun with it. Get those creative juices flowing!
Dig through your kid's previous posts, and see if you can figure out some things they like!
Or dropship them a tub of Mixture 76!

Hoped to add some things from my incoming order but with Canada Post strikes holding up incoming international packages I don't want to wait and hope everything arrives on time.
Guess I'll toss together some stuff from my cellar/local shops. Thought about drop shipping but hard to add non tobacco related items to a drop ship so guess I'll just have to dig around in the snow and see what I can find...

Well, today sucked!
I have good news and bad news.
Bad news is that I was let go today. Nothing I did, just downsizing.
Good news is that I have all my "kid's" gifts, and everything is going out as scheduled! So, I'm thankful for that!
If you are of the persuasion, any prayers for a new job are most appreciated. We will be fine through Christmas; as we have all of our Christmas funds already set aside and income to cover everything sometime into January. But it would be nice to not feel too much of a financial pinch before the new job is secured.
Thank the Lord for His provision and guidance to future endeavors!

I will be praying that you find something quick. Bigger & better to come.

And hopefully the next door that he opens for you will reveal greener pastures! And hopefully he opens that door for you very soon.

Man, I know what it's like to go to work and be told you don't have a job.
It took a while to bounce back, but I'm better off for it now. I would have never gone back to school if it wouldn't have happened.
Hang in there bro. Tough times don't last. Tough people do.

Obviously, the dog had to check it out, but I assured him there were no dog rockets.

Got my package today from Tombstone. He sent it in time, but I have my stuff delivered to the office and was off work the weekend and Mon/Tue.
Good freaking grief it's full.

Enjoy it! There was another item or two I pulled out the box. I was not sure your employer would appreciate ammo and fireworks being shipped to your place of business. So I went with the better safe then sorry.
